Perpetual Calendar

I have put together the calendar part for January 2018. This calendar will also be used for October of 2018. I used the same kit as yesterday's month page - Winter Memories. Download the calendar. (words not on your copy)
I am thinking the landscape will work better. What do you think?
I have been accepted as a designer at Scrapbook Delights. I will start uploading some kits today. I am not sure of the Grand Opening dates.

Calendar, etc

I have decided to get back into designing and have applied to 2 stores, waiting to hear back from them. In the mean time - you may have guessed that I love calendars. I am putting together a little 4x6 dual frame perpetual calendar. I will be handing them out in the next few days a piece at a time. I have 2 magnetic holders ($1 a piece at Dollar General) that I will be using, any double frame or 2 singles together will display the calendar. I am flipping back and forth between portrait and landscape. What do you think? Download this one and comeback!

Stacked Paper Freebie!

 I actually moved on in The Studio's contest. Yea! More of the this delightful kit has been made. I had a very busy weekend and the contest demanded non-solid papers for this one, I did make a few, but only the patterned and designed ones are in this paper pack. Contest Time

It is contest time at The Studio again. I have entered every year for many cycles. Most of the submission, like in past years are Autumn centered. I decided to stay away from traditional themes - Let us see where that leads. I have been watching the Girls Who Code movement and want to honor them and all the famous women in computer programming.

Review: ThreadUP

I tried Tread UP as a way to recycle some clothes that were still in very good shape. I sent in 11 items. I had hoped to get enough to buy at least one item from them. Of the 11, they accepted 3 and I will receive $1.50. They charge $4 -$8 for a simple T-shirt. I will not be sending them clothing again and strongly discourage the use of the company.

Star Spangled Picnic

My brother surprised us by visiting for part of the weekend. We decided to picnic in our in-progress fire pit area.  I scrapped the picnic using my Star Spangled Picnic. What a fun and exhausting day!
After scrapping this, I know I need a plate and a cup. Email me (katlen124(at)gmail . com) a suggestion and if I use it, I will send you the plate, cup and your suggestion.

Mojo

As school begins to wrap up, I am trying to get my designing mojo back up so I joined a designer's challenge at Pixel Scraper. I have not done everything on week 1's list, but I think I  have a foundation for a kit. What do you think? What else does it need?

We Believe Blog Train: Abundant Life

This month as been odd with my external hard drives fading in and out and not being able to upload photos to any online place. But even with these frustrations, I do have an abundant life.
This month's theme comes from John 10:10-11

 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

I am grateful for the many things and people I do have in my life.

I have set a goal to be more proactive in setting and following up on weekly challenges. This week's lesson was

How can I learn to see Heavenly Father’s hand in all things?

a great lesson based on Psalm 145:9 and the last part of 1 Nephi 1:20 that talk about the Lord's tender mercies. Sometimes it is difficult for any of us to recognize a divine hand in our lives, maybe harder for my pre-teens. So the challenge is to find something every day that reminds them of their Heavenly Father's love and to tell someone about it. I have to do the challenge too.
